About the CRS
The Centre for Research and Services, or the CRS, was opened in 2005 to support research in the School of Liberal Arts and to provide academic services.
The Centre consists of three units.
- The Testing Unit provides tests of English proficiency to enable effective placement of students and staff.
- The Foreign Language Unit (FLU) provides non-credited language courses for KMUTT students, staff, and tailor-made courses to serve specific focuses both within and outside KMUTT.
- The Research Unit encourages and supports research within the faculty.
Current work in the CRS includes providing extra English training for students on international programmes, designing a standardised test of English for Thai engineers and technicians, creating a database of the English used by Thai learners, and producing web-based English learning materials for people working within the different industries.
