iEARN Thailand is an affiliate of iEARN, the International Education and Resource Network. It is a non-profit educational network that allows over one million students and teachers in over 20,000 primary and secondary schools and youth organizations in over 110 countries to undertake projects designed to make a meaningful contribution to the health and welfare of the planet and its people. Through their educational projects, young people develop the skills needed for the 21st century.
Students and teachers work on iEARN projects primarily through e-mail and discussion forum. Participants will often need a login ID and password in order to access the discussion forum. The reason for this is that iEARN likes potential participants to express their intentions before joining. Teachers may also propose their own projects for others to join, or seek individual partners with whom to collaborate.
- To create opportunities for teachers and students to work together on online projects concerning global issues at both national and international level
- To create awareness among teachers and students about the power of the use of iEARN projects and IT—Integration Technology;
- To introduce the world into the classroom so that learning and teaching is more technologically challenged and motivated
We welcome your involvement and contributions to this effort to prepare Thai youth for the 21st century! For information on how you can help, contact us!
