As I am sure you all know, Google Scholar is an amazing resource, but sometimes it's really difficult to find the right keywords to uncover what you are looking for. A few days ago Google released a new feature on the Scholar site that gives you a list of "Related Searches" that might be useful. For example, my high-level research topic is "writing quality", and the suggestions at the bottom of the search results are:
students writing quality
writing quality coherence cohesion
writing quality requirements
writing quality linguistic features
efl writing quality
writing quality word processing
writing quality individualized education programs
writing quality apprehension
writing quality vocabulary knowledge
writing quality syntactic complexity
writing quality learning objectives
esl writing quality
assessing writing quality
writing quality topical structure
peer writing quality
college writing quality
At least four of these suggestions are very relevant to my thesis. So I can see how this could be a very useful tool in the future. Give it a try and let us know how well it worked for you.
