When looking for something else, I found https://iwl.me/ - a website where you input some text you have written and it tells you which well-known author your writing is most similar to?
I put in a section from my new book, an article I wrote for the Bangkok Post, and part of a handout for the Linguistics course.
For the first 2, apparently I write like Arthur C. Clarke; whereas my handouts are similar to the writing of David Foster Wallace.
In the about page, it seems that it's a simple algorithm (albeit Bayesian) that looks at length of sentences, frequency of punctuation marks and other similar surface features.
